Day 9

This is day 9 for Gail and Day 2 for Tyson, Lindsey, Zach and Ed. The lift ticket is pictured here and said "BOBSLD".
This is the day that Tyson bailed and left early with Pat and Gail. The rest of the crew stayed and skied.
Here is a short video documenting the day:

Day 8

This says SUM3

This is the first day of skiing with Tyson Stephenson, his son Zach and his daughter Lindesey. Lindsey brought along "Sweetness" for his first skiing adventure in Colorado.

The lift ticket says "SUM3" and I don't know the significance.

"Sweetness" aka Ed was skiing for the first time on real snow. He told me how they have pot scrubbers that they wet and simulate snow. That was all the prior experience that he had. Lindsey took him up the mountain on the Raven Lift instead of warming up on Susan's Trail. He was really amazing because he fell getting off the lift and then got back up while he was still moving from the fall. Day 7

Today it snowed! I had to get back and help Jeanne at the Bead Store so we made 8 runs. After 5 runs we needed to come in and warm up. We were done by 11:30 and headed home.

The lift ticket was stamped VONN. Wonder if that is honoring our female downhill ski gold medalist.

Day 6

Today was "Fat Tuesday" and Wolf Creek contributed by using an abbreviation for Bourbon Street for the lift tickets. The Grey Wofves celebrated by hosting a mardi gras costume contest and furnishing lunch for its members consisting of submarine sandwiches and cake.

Pat Nabers and I drove up together and we made 16 runs. We are increasing the runs on each day. The skiing was wonderful - much the same as day five but with fewer groomed trails. My pick for the day was Tranquility. Even the trails that were not groomed were pretty nice. I added Silver Streak and Snuffy's Hollow to my list of trails done this season.

Day 5

What a beautiful Day! The sky was clear, the temperature was just right and all the right trails were groomed. Pat Nabers and I skiied together. We started on the Raven Lift and came down Kelly Boise. Next was the Bonanza Lift and came down Chrisma. My reaction to this run was WOW! Next we rode the Bonanza Lift and came down Powder Puff. (Double WOW) Next was Divide Trail to Turnpike to Quick Silver to Powder Puff. Then we did the Bonanza crossover to Silver Streak to Tranquility. Then we rode the Treasure Lift and did Tranquility from the top (My favorite run of the day). Back up Treasure and down Summer Day. This run had 5 really great jumps. Back up Treasure and down Treasure Trail to Powder Puff. Then up Bonanza Lift and Divide Trail for a lunch bread at the Raven's Nest (New facility located at the top of the Raven Lift). We came down Bunny Hop for the next run. That completed all the green and blue trails serviced by these three lifts. We decided to end the day after completing 12 runs. Just another day in paradise!

The lift ticket for the day was Layla. Looking foreward to skiing with you soon!

Day 4

It was a beautiful day with clear skies and the high was 28. I went with Pat Nabers and we made 12 runs together and then I made 2 more for a total of 14.

Here is the
lift ticket for the day. I wonder if that is Peanut butter and jelly?

Below is a video of Pat skiing down tranquility.

Here are some pictures we took today.

Day 3

December 12, 2009

Here is the lift ticket for today:

Beans - we must be doing veggies.

There was light snow falling the whole time I was there.

I made 10 runs and was ready to leave by noon.

Here is the only picture I took while skiing.
